During the time I was working on the writing of the community play, “Walsall’s War”, and during the rehearsals and production, and performance, I also wrote a number of occasional poems, which though related to the themes of the play, were not directly related enough to find their way into the play itself. They’re a kind of by-product of the main body of the material I was working on. But, as I have some affection for them, I thought I’d publish them here.
